Assisting the vision impaired now and into the future
"It is estimated that there are currently approximately 380,000 people living in Australia with
legal blindness or low vision. This number is expected to double in the next 20 years, as a result of the ageing population."

Foundation
Incorporating aids for the vision impaired in all indoor and outdoor construction is not only good practice, but it has become mandatory in all Australian building codes and Public Access Disability Standards.
The Guardian Tactile System was approved on 14 February 2005 for
use by VicRoads as part of its DDA Compliance Works Program for the declared road network throughout the State of Victoria.
